# MySchoolScout

> MySchoolScout publishes fresh, transparent rankings and data for every K-12 public school, district, and city in the United States. All ratings are computed from U.S. government primary sources (NCES Common Core of Data, state Departments of Education, U.S. Census ACS) with full methodology and data-vintage disclosure on every page.

## About

- Operator: Layover Supply LLC
- Coverage: ~96,000 public K-12 schools, ~13,000 districts, all 50 states + DC
- Ranking formula: level-specific weighted composite of Student Growth, Poverty-Adjusted Academic Performance, and Environment, plus College Readiness for high schools (e.g. elementary: growth 50%, academics 30%, environment 20%); equity is reported as context, not scored; computed within-state for fair comparison
- Update cadence: annual on NCES release (~12-month lag), 3-6 month lag on state test scores, continuous on methodology and ranking computation
